We have all heard about the recent earthquake disaster in Haiti. The largest earthquake in 200 years has jut hit island nation of Haiti. The earthquake in Haiti was a 7.0 in magnitude and left much of the country in ruins. There have even been 5.0 aftershocks. The epicenter of the Haiti Earthquake was only 6.2 miles deep and only 10 miles from the city of Port -Au- Prince. In comparing the Haiti earthquake to those against history, the largest earthquake ever was in Chile with a 9.5 on the Richter scale. The Resulting damage is more devastating in Haiti due to building style and the epicenter location. This earthquake is like the final punch for a country so poor and effete already.
